Laser 101 — Online

CAMFive

Hacksburg will be hosting a laser cutter class this Sunday. This class offers attendees a tutorial on using the Hacksburg 80W CO2 Laser Cutter. Basic laser safety, design guidelines, and examples will be presented.

This class will not be held in person to encourage social distancing related to COVID-19. The class will be held using Jitsi Meet.

Practical Power Electronics — Online

Hacksburg will be holding a new class, Practical Power Electronics, on Sunday, June 28 from 1:00PM-4:00PM. In this class, attendees will learn how to choose a mains or battery power supply based on the requirements of the device that needs power. Topics include different power supply types, safety, LED power, and more. Additionally, the power supplies available at Hacksburg will be discussed.

This class will not be held in person to encourage social distancing related to COVID-19. The class will be held using Jitsi Meet.

3D Printing — Online

Printing

Hacksburg will be holding our 3D printing class on Sunday, June 21 from 1:00PM-4:00PM. In this class, attendees will learn 3D printing methods and how to print parts successfully on the Hacksburg 3D printer. Even if you’ve used the Hacksburg 3D printer before, this class will go over recent modifications to the printer which improve reliability and print quality.

Discrete Electronic Components — Online

Hacksburg will be holding a new class, Discrete Electronic Components, on Sunday, June 14 from 1:00PM-4:00PM. In this class, attendees will learn the basics of electronic circuits. If you’ve ever wanted to learn the basics of resistors, capacitors, LEDs, and Arduinos, now’s your chance! After taking this class you’ll be armed with knowledge to begin any basic electronics project.

Cameras 101 — Online

Lens

Hacksburg will be holding a new class, Cameras 101, on Sunday, June 7 from 1:00PM-4:00PM. In this class, attendees will learn the basics of how a camera works, how lenses work and how to pick them, and how to get the most image quality out of any camera, large or small. Everything from Raspberry Pi cameras to full-size SLRs will be covered, with time for questions and discussion.
