Modifying CAD

There is an incredible variety of 3D models available online for 3D printers. But what if you need to change something about a model to suit your needs? In this class, learn how to use basic and advanced techniques for modifying 3D printer files.

Ages 16+, lower with 3D printing experience and you confirm with the board (board@hacksburg.org). Minors will need to have parent/guardian supervision for the entire duration of the class.

Time: Sunday, May 21 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM

Location: Hacksburg; 1872 Pratt Drive Suite 1620. Park and enter at the back of the building.

Cost: $5 for non-members, free for Hacksburg members.

Hacksburg is Blacksburg's first community makerspace. We're graciously hosted by the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center at 1872 Pratt Drive, Suite 1620.

To get in, first try going around to the back and knocking on the double doors. Someone will come around to let you in.

Makerspaces (also known as hackerspaces) are community-oriented workshops where people share physical and intellectual resources. Hacksburg is a place to collaborate, a place to learn, and a place to work on projects that you might not be able to work on at home.
